Keyless entry

• There is an electronic keypad on the front door, and another at the laundry door through the metal gate.
• Enter the code and you will hear a click. Then turn the dial to unlock the deadbolt.
• To lock the home, close the door, press the Schlage button, and turn the dial until you hear a click.

Wifi

During your stay

• Maximum overnight guests: 8 adults, plus 2 children under 8 (not counted)
• Daily guest limit: up to 20 people for gatherings, 8:00 AM–10:00 PM, per Santa Cruz County ordinance
• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Prohibited: smoking, drugs, fireworks, and illegal activities
• No smoking anywhere on the property — indoors, balconies, or yard
• Parking: 2 cars in the driveway, 1 on the street

Garbage and recycling

Pickup is Wednesday morning. Bins are along the back fence.

• Keep the bungee cords on the bins so raccoons can’t get in.
• Do not leave garbage bags on the ground.
• Take any excess garbage home if it doesn’t fit in the bins.

Housekeeping and towels

• No daily housekeeping is provided.
• Linens and bath towels are included.
• Extra linens and towels are in the laundry room cabinets. If you use them, please wash and return them before checkout.
• Beach towels are in the laundry room. Wash, dry, and put them away before checkout. Do not use bath towels for the beach.
• Dish towels are in the drawer by the fridge, or in the laundry room cabinets.

Barbecue

• Let us know if you use the spare gas tank so we can refill it.
• Wipe the side shelves and remove food debris.
• Cover the grill and clip the straps before leaving.

Heating

The thermostat is in the downstairs hallway.

Pets

• Dogs must not be left alone.
• There is active wildlife here: deer, raccoons, skunks, and more.
• Be mindful of barking or other disturbances.

Before checkout

By 11:00 AM.

• Tidy the home and return items and furniture to their original places
• Remove sheets from used beds and place them on the floor
• Leave unused beds made
• Put used towels on the bathroom floor
• Wash and dry beach towels, and return them to storage
• Run and empty the dishwasher
• Start 1 load of laundry (it’s okay if it’s still in the washer)
• Take out all garbage
• Remove perishables, and don’t leave flowers or food behind
• Lock the doors and close all windows
